To advocate for Los Rios Community College students and employees.
I am a tireless advocate for Los Rios students and employees, and a professor who has been empowering many students to fight for their future as I did when I was told that my education would end at elementary school because I was a girl. Most important of all, I am someone who walked away from 25years of tenured professorship in Los Rios, which I loved, to run for Los Rios Trustee, Area 2 so that I can expand my advocacy for Los Rios and CA community colleges.
I have unique insider insight on the concerns and needs of the Los Rios community because I have 25 years of direct lived experience in Los Rios, 10+ years of advocacy experience for Los Rios and CA community colleges, from the classroom to the Capitol. My experience clearly shows that I am committed and will give two hundred percent of me as a Los Rios trustee. I believe this is why the Sacramento Labor Council, the Los Rios College Federation of Teachers, and SEIU 1021 endorse me solely.
I will make every effort to ensure that everyone, especially those at the entry level of their careers, have equitable pay and workload.
